This project was given to us to explore Art Direction within photography and being able to tell a story. I personally had a rough time thinking of concepts on how to express my individuality through this project. I went thought a lot of ideas, from exploring finals fashion to explaining the complexities of myself through mediums found within nature. None of those stuck with me but both of those ideas had fashion and nature in common. I for one love photographing casual and high end street wear especially when people are within their comfort zones or natural habitats if you will. So the direction I chose to go is where I felt the most comfortable with expressing myself and thoughts which was within the fields of music and fashion.
I was sitting on this idea but the conversation we had in the studio that day with our guest was in fire and we had found so many connections within the inspiration of creativity through music and fashion, I wanted to not only capture that, I wanted to expand on it through a story.
Sights of the Studio is a short understanding of how music and fashion are also able to inspire and increase culture, communication and awareness within creativity.
